Many Daycares don't allow for blankets in the cribs with the babies. This is done to help prevent SIDS. The blanket sleeper is a wonderful alternative. The fleece is very soft and warm. True to size. Great quality. Holds up in the wash. I do wish it had longer sleeves. Safe, soft and warm, great product.

I am a huge fan of the HALO SleepSacks. We bought the medium size for my daughter, who is now 9 months old, and about 17 lbs. and 28". It is a great fit with plenty of room to grow lengthwise still. She is able to flip over at night and can still stand up in her crib wearing this. We put this over a sleep-and-play and set the thermostat to 70-72, and it keeps her warm at night but not so warm that she's sweating or overheating.
The fleece is soft and still looks great after repeated washings. In fact, we have another that has been handed down from her big cousins, and it is just starting to look a little worn now that it's going through the third child. So I would say the quality is definitely worth the price you pay.
However...speaking of repeated washings... When she was in the newborn and small sizes, I bought these at Babies R Us and they were fine. For some reason, the one I bought through Amazon had a horrible smell. I don't know if it's the plastic/rubbery smell from the HALO package or what, but it was awful. I washed and dried it FOUR times before I even thought about putting it on my daughter, and the first time I tried I ended up taking it right back off and washing it again. It has now been washed probably about 8 times or so, and it still has a faint odor that I can smell when I snuggle her at night. I'm not sure if this is an Amazon problem or just a strange fluke with the HALO packaging, but I've never had this problem with the other HALO SleepSacks I've bought. That's the only reason I'm taking my rating down one star.
Other than that, I would highly recommend the HALO SleepSacks. They are good quality and great for keeping your little one warm, but not too warm!, at night without having to worry about blankets getting kicked off or tangled up or over their face.

Nice warm sleep sack. Easy to use. I'm glad I bought 12-18 month size for my 8 month old. She can wear it longer that way.
