I am a pastry chef and I used one of these at a restaurant I worked for every day and when it came time to replace my scale at home, there wasn't any other!
It is very slender and light. And if you have to weigh something in a large bowl, use a smaller bowl or cup, place in the middle, tare it out, and measure away.
I have nothing negative to say about this scale! I use the standard metric setting, but if you need to use ounces, just turn the scale over, press the button, and away you go.
I'm very happy with this scale!

This scale replaced a Terraillon scale that was erratic from the start, and failed completely after a couple of years. No response when I tried to invoke the 10 year warranty.
This is a very nice tool. The touch controls work well, and the smooth top is easy to clean. The tare function is flawless, and the controls are not cluttered up with irrelevant options. If you want to go metric, the little button on the bottom is readily accessible, but not in the way in normal operation.
Highly reommended, and only a little more expensive than junkier products in this category.

Scale is small and thin as noted by other reviewers. Well made, with meticulous fit and finish. It powers on quickly, tares quickly and provides instant weight readings on a large, crisp display. Simple operation and great form factor. Best kitchen scale I have ever seen.
