Like many others before me, I am very pleased with this accessory and the functionality it provides. I installed this in a 2007 Grand Cherokee with the RAQ (I think) radio and it has been flawless. I didn't have the rear DVD player so there was no issue with having to unplug anything to enjoy this accessory. It charges, conceals and makes driving that much more enjoyable with my iPod securely in my glove box. What makes this product even more awesome is that it also provides an "audio out" function that can be utilized if for some reason I wanted to listen to anything else with a headphones jack. As others have said, a 5-star rating could have been achieved if this device was able to put the scroll the song title and artist on the radio readout screen but alas, you will still love this accessory. I have heard that the iPod cable can wear out so if that happens, I will order another and use my audio out to play my iPod. Truly a great little piece of technology and for a rather affordable price. Shipping was very quick and for under $100, I simply cannot complain. If you like a nice clean look in your Jeep and hate the in and out fuzzyness of those radio tuner devices, this is your lucky day!

I've had this about a year now and it works great. I use it with my iPhone 3GS. Works with the steering wheel controls as well. What it does is activates the DVD input on the radio so you can use an iPod on DVD1 or auxiliary input on DVD2. I don't have rear seat DVD system, so connecting this didn't conflict with such a system. It was quite easy to install.
This will work in other chrysler vehicles as well. "compatible with factory-installed RAK, REC or RAQ radios in Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep"

I put this in my '06 Jeep Commander. I have an RAQ type stereo system. I put it in without much headache. The only thing that took my off guard was having to plug the 10 pin plug in even though I didn't have an existing 10 pin plug in use. Once I did that it worked fine. The Apple connection was good without me having to mess with the gain, the headphone was a little lighter and I haven't messed with the gain yet to see if it can compensate. It is a little lighter than standard CD for example but it works well. I love the fact that I don't have to use one of those stupid FM tuners that fade out and such. Went in in about 45 minutes after I figured out I needed the 10 pin plug also. Then it was just a matter of figuring out where to run my extensions.
It was a little confusing that it came up as DVD on my system but once I got used to that it was o.k. Nice product, simple to install, easy to use, good quality. I have only been running it for a couple of weeks but I love it.
